Tyre performance can be severely affected by low tyre pressures. As much as 2% more fuel consumption can be used if your tyre is just 7psi under inflated the consequence results in 2% rise in CO2 emissions. Tyres under inflated by 15psi have increased rolling resistance resulting in 6% greater fuel consumption.
Checking your tyres frequently and making sure they are inflated to the accurate psi can improve performance, safety, reduce CO2 and tread wear.
